GenCon 2026 has come to a close, and with it, the Soul Masters TCG World Championship! We want to thank everyone who joined us and helped make this event an incredible experience.


To celebrate the achievements of our competitors, we created a series of exclusive Best Of Commander cards. Each of these special promotional cards was awarded to the highest-finishing player for its respective Commander, recognizing the player who achieved the best tournament performance with that Commander.


Below, you'll find the deck lists that earned these exclusive awards, along with their final standings in the tournament. Whether you're looking for inspiration, preparing for your next event, or simply curious about what performed at the highest level, we hope you enjoy exploring these lists.


Give them a try with your friends and local community, and see for yourself what made these decks stand out on the world stage! 1. First Place and Winner of Worlds - Ragnar Silvermoon as played by SoloFans



This is the winning deck of the 2026 World Championship. Ragnar made a strong showing at GenCon 2025, and this year it returned stronger than ever to claim the title.


Built entirely with cards from Set 2: Outerlands, this deck showcases Ragnar's relentless playstyle and ability to pressure opponents from start to finish. One particularly interesting inclusion is Mysterious Jungle. While Ragnar typically doesn't rely on traps, the card's ability to control hasty units proved to be an invaluable tool, helping the deck survive several difficult matchups throughout the tournament.



  1. Second Place - Athena Stormkal as played by Long


This deck earned a second-place finish while also claiming the Best Of Athena Stormkal award. Athena saw very little competitive play during last year's GenCon, but Long's performance demonstrated just how much potential the Commander possesses in the current metagame.


The deck is built around an efficient curve of low-cost units, allowing it to establish an early board presence and apply consistent pressure throughout the game. Rather than relying on explosive turns, it gradually forces opponents into increasingly difficult positions by maintaining tempo and threatening damage every turn.


One of the more interesting aspects of the list is the inclusion of Talia and Uma. Despite belonging to the 12th Army rather than Athena's primary faction, both cards proved to be excellent support options. Whether closing out games with additional offensive power or controlling key opposing units, they provided the flexibility needed to overcome a wide range of matchups.



  1. 4th place - Keshi Savageclaw as played by NABonafied


Keshi has long been a fan-favorite Commander for players who enjoy aggressive strategies without sacrificing interaction. The deck excels at maintaining offensive pressure while efficiently removing key threats through a combination of spells, unit abilities, and combat, making it difficult for opponents to stabilize.


One of the list's greatest strengths is its ability to generate explosive burst damage in a single turn, often catching opponents off guard and ending games before they have an opportunity to recover. Throughout the tournament, this aggressive game plan proved highly effective against a variety of matchups.


NABonafied's precise piloting and deep understanding of the deck showcased Keshi's competitive potential, earning a well-deserved Best Of Keshi award.



  1. Top 8 - Vulcania Homusubi as played by Wolfbark


Vulcania embodies the Valkryian philosophy of turning every battle into an opportunity for advantage. Whether opposing units are knocked out or its own units fall in combat, the deck is constantly converting those exchanges into additional damage, forcing opponents to think carefully about every trade.


This particular build takes a more aggressive approach, capable of producing significant bursts of damage much like Keshi. However, where it distinguishes itself is in its defensive flexibility. By incorporating a healthy number of high-Shield Power cards, the deck can absorb early pressure, survive aggressive assaults, and punish opponents who overcommit to reckless attacks. Top 16 - Satin as played by Nocris_vt



Satin has consistently been one of the strongest-performing Commanders in the competitive scene, and this year's World Championship was no exception. Nocris piloted a flexible and well-balanced list that could seamlessly shift between disrupting the opponent's resources or applying sustained offensive pressure, adapting its game plan to the demands of each matchup.


A key feature of the deck is its efficient use of Shuriken, not only as a damaging tool but also as a way to enable units that benefit from Shuriken being in the discard pile. This synergy allowed the deck to generate additional damage at crucial moments, often providing the final push needed to close out games.


The inclusion of Dark Golem Cores added another layer of consistency to the strategy. By accelerating the summoning of powerful Golems, the deck was able to establish a wider board presence and maintain pressure throughout the game. Together, these synergies gave Satin the flexibility to control the pace of the match while always presenting a credible threat of ending the game.

Vyndis is one of the newest Commanders introduced in Set 2: Outerlands, and her performance at the World Championship proved she deserves a place among the game's top competitors. While her strategy appears aggressive at first glance, piloting the deck effectively requires careful resource management and strong combat decision-making.


The deck is built to maximize the value of its Hunters by using reserve cards to return them to the battlefield as Awoken units, unlocking additional synergies and extending pressure well beyond the initial attack. Okashi plays a pivotal role in the strategy by providing additional resources, allowing Vyndis to consistently pay the costs of her own skills as well as those of her units. This resource acceleration helps the deck maintain momentum throughout the game while enabling its most impactful plays.



  1. Top 16 - Lamia Avicci as played by PollosaurioX

Lamia has long been considered one of the most technically demanding Commanders to pilot, requiring careful resource management and precise decision-making to maximize her potential. This year, we finally saw a player unlock her full capabilities, earning a well-deserved Top 16 finish at the World Championship.


This decklist showcases the impact of the new cards introduced in Set 2: Outerlands, which shift Lamia's traditional tempo-focused strategy into a more aggressive and proactive game plan. The inclusion of The Ring as a reserve card is particularly noteworthy, as it provides protection against opposing On Play effects while preserving key units. This allows Lamia to develop a stronger board presence over time while minimizing the disruption that can normally slow her strategy.


Arsalan serves as one of the deck's central pieces, gaining significant value from his new Unleashed version. In the early game, he functions as a powerful defensive wall that stabilizes the board, while later allowing Lamia to transition into a more aggressive role by generating consistent damage each turn. His ability to remain available as both an offensive threat and a defensive protector makes him an essential part of the deck's overall strategy.


The inclusion of Kaito adds an expected but effective layer of interaction to the list. His ability to handle problematic opposing units gives Lamia additional tools to control difficult matchups and maintain the momentum needed to close out games.



  1. Did not qualify - Ayrmareon Windwalker as played by Carmel_


Ayrmareon was the only Commander that did not secure a spot in the Top 16 of the World Championship. Despite being widely regarded by the community as one of the strongest Commanders heading into the event, the archetype was represented by only a single dedicated player, Carmel_! highlighting both the deck's complexity and the level of mastery required to play it effectively.


The list revolves around maximizing the value of Mount skills, enabling its units to generate consistent offensive pressure while disrupting the opponent's game plan through bounce and counter effects. This combination of proactive threats and reactive interaction gives the deck the flexibility to adapt to a variety of matchups.


Another defining characteristic of the build is its emphasis on units with high Shield Power, allowing it to withstand sustained aggression while setting up decisive turns. The inclusion of Piercing Drakes further reinforces the deck's finishing potential by enabling attacks that largely bypass conventional shield-based defenses, making it exceptionally difficult for opponents to mitigate lethal damage once the deck has established its board.
