Set 2 Errata and Clarifications

Greetings Soul Masters Community! With the new release of our set 2, Outerlands, some cards were printed with a bit of confusing language or were missing some keywords that future printings and promos will have already printed correctly. All the updated text remains the same in the cards effect and are just steps we are taking as a precaution to avoid having a negative experience in your new adventure in this new set.
Updated on 4/3/2026 to present the new Dizzy, Number 1 Fan casting limitations.
The list goes as follows:
Skeleton Token (SM-OT-029b/SM-OT-030b/SM-OT-060b)
The Skeleton tokens found in your Set 2 boxes are missing the Ravage keyword. This is a staple effect for all awoken skeleton units and this will allow players to expand their damage a bit more and even those that get affected against their will.
Thrasher (SM-OT-039)
Thrasher is just clarifying that its Initiative effect will be permanent instead of being until the end of turn. If you can't attack, you can't use it right? To avoid confusion and timing issues, the card will now get Initiative permanently if it didn't get haste on its On Enter From Hand skill.
Ayrmaeron Windwalker (SM-OT-062 and SM-OT-063)
In terms of Ayrmareon's second ability that he gains in Evol 1 and 2, the original printed wording can cause a bit of confusion thinking he must be mounted to activate the skill. The original planned writing was for it to activate whenever your commander (Ayrmareon) attacks and if you have a Mounted unit, to active this skill. The printed wording seems like it would still activate but to avoid confusion on it's timing, we are updating the written skill to include the check for anything mounted in your control.
Return Fire (SM-OT-084)
Return Fire required a clear limitation on the damage being dealt back due to some effects that may raise the damage output of this card. To ensure proper understanding and balance, this card will only deal damage equal to the prevented damage and it maximum being 4, equal to the damage that was prevented.
Armored Drake (SM-OT-092)
Armored Drake presented an interesting problem that was not fully added. Adding Taunt to a unit is really strong, if that unit has any shield capacity it becomes a big problem but if we added even more shield capacity into it, then it becomes a commander of sorts in resilience of surviving damage. To avoid this abuse of shielding power capacity that could happen, we added the maximum shield capacity that the unit can have which is 1. Further effects may alter this cost but for now, it will lock in the shield capacity to 1.
Dizzy, Number 1 Fan (SM-OT-145)
Dizzy is a interesting case of delayed triggers being used and to avoid such a problem, the card has been updated to clarify that Dizzy must be played right after an Arsalan that you control has been KO'd. The errata version also bypasses some summoning restrictions that can happen from other effects that ensure that Arsalan can be returned to the field, if there is space for him still. Sadly you cannot summon Dizzy at the end of the turn to return your Arsalan onto the field or during damage calculations. The limitation and wording of using "immediately" for this effects prevents you from playing any other cards before playing this card, meaning that if you do not summon Dizzy when the conditions are met, you will lose the casting window and must wait for another chance there the conditions are met. This is a big change to this card to ensure the health of the decks.
Riko (SM-OT-148)
Riko sadly got printed without its timing restriction that made it a monster without it. Now Riko's trap ability can only be activated at the end of the combat after damage has been resolved. This card still retains its powerful trap skill of KO any target enemy unit that has attacked but it cannot be used earlier during the combat to avoid taking any damage from them. This card is still really powerful but the timing restrictions ensure that it cannot be abused.
Those are all the cards that had missing print lines or text to ensure proper resolution of their effects. If you open them, feel free to play them but make sure to use them in the proper timing window or limitations that they have.
Thank you for your time and have fun battling each others on April 3, 2026 with Outerlands!

All of these changes are very nice and also good for the health of the game, some where very abusable and need to be reigned in (didn't want to be blasted back with Return Fire when I don't kill in the Keshi Turn, added that they are stackable), except for one. The Dizzy, Number 1 Fan is completely out of left field since it limits too much the applications of the card. If it was at the moment that the Arsalan was K.O.ed then I would understand, but limiting it to only to the combat is too much since most of the time he will get K.O.ed by a Spell on your opponents turn. I do get there are more…
