The Blood Dragon Loyalty

As we get closer to the release of set 2, Outerlands, we at the Soul Masters Team have heard your comments and ways to make the game better by fixing some questionable text in some of the cards previously printed with set 1, Awakenings and our Starter Decks.

One key card that many people love and despise, depending on which side of the game you are on, is the card named Blood Dragon. This card has some neat effects and writing in terms of how it works and has led to the community doing the Blood Dragon Cast Challenge. Sadly, no matter what you do, the Blood Dragon can only be placed on the field with Satin’s Reserve card as of now and many have questioned if its mercenary identification was an error in the printing. 

With that taken into consideration, we have decided to update Blood Dragon to a fully specialized card like Kuigaro Homusubi and Arsalan in which this card will now only be available for the deck building of Satin Ravenheart. 

Blood Dragon will no longer be a mercenary as of April 3, 2026. With this new update to the card, now Blood Dragon will take up a normal unit slot during your deckbuilding and free up your mercenary counts back up to 3 for Satin, allowing more mercenaries and tricks to be added to the deck.
